Optevus Hiring Platform

As a UI/UX Intern at Softpath System LLC in 2022, I led the design and enhancement of key user interface elements for their innovative hiring platform, OPTEVUS. Collaborating closely with the lead developer and a Python intern, I managed the design and implementation of the 'Jobs Tab,' a critical feature displaying all open positions and their respective statuses. This project significantly improved user experience by streamlining job management and presenting information in a clear, organized manner.

Jobs Page UI Prototypes

The first prototype tackled concerns that the platform was not inviting enough. It included the basic components of the original UI in the same layout: the menu to the left, table to the bottom right, and tool bar right above. I incorporated brighter colors, notifications in each menu tab, and a slightly more playful style (more rounded fonts and component shapes) to make the page more welcoming for users.

The second prototype tackled the improvement user mobility and the aesthetics of the Jobs page. To enhance functionality, checkboxes in the first column allowed users to flag jobs for follow-up, and a drop-down menu in the second column provided a summary of job statistics. The 'Progress' column displayed the current hiring stage, while the 'Posted' column now included dates beyond the one-week mark. For a more polished look, I toned down the color scheme, adjusted notifications in the menu, and reduced the size of the toolbar

The final prototype tackled enhancing job statistics for users and applying final design refinements. Graphs above the table displayed general job trends, allowing users to quickly understand their hiring status at a glance. With this addition, the 'Jobs' tab became a scrolling interface. To improve readability, I softened the deep blue in the 'Progress' column and introduced alternating row colors to differentiate job postings more clearly. I developed the final UI using Angular JavaScript, ensuring seamless integration with the platform.
